We, SUSHIRO GH SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (the “Company”) recognised the importance and take it as a social responsibility to protect the personal information of our customers, business partners and employees in conducting our businesses under the vision statement of our group company under FOOD & LIFE COMPANIES LTD. (Japan) (the “Group”) – “Make every day more delicious. Spread joy around the world.”

In light of this statement, we are committed to protecting, the privacy, confidentiality and security of personal information we hold by implementing and complying with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (as may be in force, amended or re-enacted from time to time) and/or other relevant laws and regulations as well as guidelines applicable in Singapore (collectively, the "PDPA"), and devoted in following the Group’s direction to build, operate, and continue to improve our personal information protection management system in order to implement and maintain this Privacy Policy.
"Personal Information" shall hereunder be defined as information or data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access. (hereinafter also referred to as “personal data”, as defined in the PDPA).

1. Consent

By your voluntary submission of Personal Information to us, you are consenting to the use of your Personal Information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Unless permitted or required by law, your personal data will not be disclosed or transferred to any third parties without your prior consent. If you give us a prior consent, you have the right to withdraw the consent at any time by contacting our Personal Data Protection Officer (DPO) as stated below. However, if you do not provide sufficient information to us, we may not be able to provide sufficient services to you.

2. Collection of Personal Information

The Company only collects your following Personal Information, including but not limited to your name, email address, contact number, and transaction-related information such as outlet visited, receipt number, total amount spent, etc., and any other information you may voluntarily provide. For employees, we may collect Personal Information such as your nationality, gender, residential address, NRIC, bank account, certifications, and other employment-related information, and other information you choose to submit voluntarily.
The app of the Company collects location data to enable store finder etc. even when the app is closed or not in use. You acknowledge and agree that for the purpose of providing you location services (e.g. delivery address detection) and promotion transfer (e.g. points transfer, coupon transfer). We may use or combine your personal information with other information including but not limited to contact list, Geo-location technologies data (GPS) and the International Mobile Equipment Identity number accessed in your mobile device. You hereby give your consent to us to access such information in your mobile device for the purposes provided in this Privacy Policy.

3. Use of Personal Information

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share for marketing purposes the Personal Information that we collect, unless you consented to it or authorize us to do so.

The Personal Information we collected are limited to be used for the following purposes:

1. Personal information related to customers

  • To respond to, confirm, and record customer’s opinions and inquiries for improvements, and to carry out anti-fraud measures for providing services appropriately and safely
  • To provide information on discounts, special offers, promotion activities and new services to customers (for instance based on customers’ current location)
  • To inform each customer of his or her seat waiting status at a Company store
  • To contact customers who ordered products to pick up at a Company store
  • To notify prize/monitor campaign winners; to provide products and rewards to such winners; and to make responses in planning and managing events
  • To conduct questionnaire surveys, regarding services and products and to respond to customer inquiries
  • To conduct surveys on demand, for product development and others by age group, gender, family structure, and regional information
  • To confirm registration of members-only services and to provide services
  • To inform of the delivery of products, and arrange relevant business operators for commercial transactions and to send invoices and other documents for commercial transactions
  • To inform our new products and services according to customers’ interests and preferences analyzing customers’ data of browsing history and purchase history
  • To improve our services and for surveying analyzing usage stats of the Services.

2. Personal information related to persons belonging to business partners

  • To inform, report, and settle transactions
  • To confirm, record, and negotiate business deals for properties to be used as stores

3. Personal information related to job applicants and applicants for specific activities

  • To contact and provide information to job applicants and applicants for specific activities and to otherwise use for recruitment activities

4. Personal information related to the officers, employees, and ex-employees of the Company and their family members

  • For business communication, work attendance, personnel evaluation, employee benefits and welfare, salary payment, etc.

5. Personal information related to neighbors of each Company facility

  • For emergency and other necessary contacts

6. Personal information related to persons recorded by one or more security cameras installed in each Company facility

  • To prevent crimes and disasters in the facility and to maintain safety in the facility

If you provide us with personal data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your spouse, children, parents or relatives), you represent and warrant to us that you have obtained the consent of such third party to provide us with their personal data for the relevant purposes. Where the personal data provided relates to a child or ward, you represent and warrant to us that you are either his/her parent or legal guardian, and that such personal data is legitimate, indeed and accurate.

Your personal data will be retained by the Company for as long as necessary according to our internal policy for the fulfilment of the purposes stated above or is required to satisfy any legal or business purposes.

4. Sharing of Personal Information

The Company will take reasonable steps to protect your personal data against unauthorized collection, use and/or disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law or regulations, your personal data may be collected, used and/or disclosed for any purposes listed in clause 3 (where applicable), to the following:

1. the Company’s staff;

2. researchers, agents, contractors or third party service providers who provide services to the Company;

3. our professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers;

4. relevant government regulators, statutory boards or authorities, or law enforcement agencies to comply with any laws, rules, guidelines, regulations or schemes imposed by any governmental authority; and

5. any other party to whom you authorise us to disclose your personal data to.

In order to provide the best service possible, the Company may engage a data intermediary to process and handle personal data on its behalf. In these cases, we will only work with recognized personal data management firms and shall enter into contracts with these data intermediaries to include provisions that clearly set out the data intermediaries’ responsibilities and obligations to ensure compliance with the PDPA.

In addition to the above, the Company will transfer your personal data to the entities outside Singapore (i.e. FOOD & LIFE COMPANIES LTD, which is the Company’s Headquarter in Japan, and other overseas entity(ies) in the Group the Company will notify you from time to time), for any purposes listed in clause 3. The Company will ensure that any transfers of your personal data to a territory outside of Singapore will be in accordance with the PDPA so as to ensure a standard of protection to personal data so transferred that is comparable to the protection under the PDPA.

In particular, the Company has a Data Protection Agreement with the Parent Company which obliges the transferee of the personal data to protect personal data that the Company transfers to it at a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

5. Security

The Company takes necessary and appropriate safety management measures in preventing any leakage of, loss of, or damage to personal information. We supervise our employees and contractors (including subcontractors) who handle personal data necessarily and appropriately.

However, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk and you agree not to hold us responsible for any breach of security while accessing the Internet that is out of our control.

6. About Cookies

In this website, the Company uses Google Analytics of Google Inc. to improve user experience and to analyze site usage. Google Analytics collects and stores users’ cookies. You can disable the cookie function by changing your browser settings, however, please note that, by doing so, part of the website may not be available.

7. Your Rights of Access and Correction

We will adopt reasonable steps to ensure your Personal Information collected and held by us are accurate, complete and updated. You have the right to access to your Personal Information held by us. You also have the right to correct your Personal Information held by us if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date by contacting our Personal Data Protection Officer as provided below.

Please note that your request may be refused if it falls on Section 21(3) of the PDPA (Circumstances in which the organisation must not provide an individual with the individual’s personal data). We may charge you a reasonable fee for processing your access request. The identity of the person making an access request will be checked and recorded.

8. Amendments to Privacy Policy

The Company may amend this Privacy Policy without prior notice from time to time in response to a change in the social conditions, a revision of a law or regulation, or any other event, whenever it is necessary and relevant. Hence, we advise you to check this Privacy Policy regularly for updated information on the handling of your personal data.
