Terasawa was born on June 10, 1959 in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. He is the author of numerous cooking manga, including Mister Ajikko, Shota no Sushi, and Kuitan. His work has been adapted into animations and TV dramas. In 1986, Weekly Shonen Magazine awarded him the new manga artist award.
